How do I keep the sale confidential from my staff and clients?
By keeping the circle small. With us there is no listing, no mailshot and no buyer database: your enquiry is read by the group's directors and nobody else, and nothing reaches your staff, clients or the local grapevine until you decide it should. In a city where accountants all know each other, that matters.
Do I need a broker to sell my practice?
No. A broker's job is to find you a buyer and manage a matching process, for a fee that is typically 1% to 5% or several thousand pounds fixed. If a credible local buyer is already at the table, that process and that cost disappear. You should still take your own legal and tax advice, and we would encourage it.
